Romania
Bucharest
As the Sun sets on another glorious day we reflect on our time in Romania. The good, the bad, the jolly and the sad all culminating in the feverous excitement of a job well done.
We woke this morning to cries of anguish as one by one the crew were struck down by a deadly Romanian strain of man flu. The only survivor was Kathryn Maria Hanmer who fought it off through sheer determination and brute force.
Onwards we traversed to the Ruth school. Immediately we dived into action with parachutes and games. The children have finally learnt "Our God is a great big God" and displayed their talents through the actions. We then painted their faces so they looked like everything from a butterfly to the grim reaper. As the morning drew to a close we partied hard and introduced them to such games as pass the parcel.
The afternoon was filled with more historical frivolities. We explored a town of Romanian buildings, a lake and the Buceresti Hard Rock Cafe. Matt loved the Hard Rock Cafe toilets even more then John Lennon's suit which surprised many.
As the evening dawned, we were given a synopsis of recent Romanian history while viewing the Revolution Square where communism was overthrown.
Our dinner this eve was in a restaurant called the "Beer cart". We enjoyed traditional Romanian cuisine and music, gorging ourselves on a glut of culture.
Hope all are well and you have cried a tear or few as you missed us so much (and MJ died).
P.S. Josh is Jack Bauer and Nick is Tony Almeida however they are incapable of picking locks but capable of breaking them. Jack also cannot throw and has managed to propel a set of keys onto the roof, leaving a room without key all week :S.

Well done one and all. We're looking forward to hearing all about your time with Project Ruth, and for more of your random humour. Much love and blessings for your journey home.
Don't forget it is 4pm at church for the start of 'No slumber'....only kidding...have a great time telling your families about the special time you've had.
